The Kent Utter Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Kent, our Executive Director, who passed away October 1, 1995. Through the thoughtfulness of so many who realized the enormous impact Kent had on his friends, family and contacts, it's fitting that his memory and ambitions are kept alive and well. It seems like all who met or knew Kent realized they were dealing with a man of integrity. He had visions of making Michigan the icon of the automotive recycling industry.

Our industry was in his blood from a young age, as he helped his father (Kent Sr.) at his salvage yard. With his best friend and wife Barbara, he later owned Baker Auto Parts in Flint for years. He had many concerns for the others in this industry and he went to bat for us as our Executive Director and Past President of our Association.

We owe a lot to this man who did more for us than we'll ever know, and what a better way to say thank you than to offer a scholarship to our employees children? Please apply and enjoy another one of your Associations wonderful benefits. Recycle On with his memory and his gifts.
