has Environmental Specialists available to them in order to help
members stay up-to-date and in compliance with environmental rules
and regulations.
Governmental
Affairs Counselors
ARM
retains Kelley Cawthorne, a Lansing based law firm that helps us
develop and implement a pro-active agenda on legislative, regulatory,
and environmental affairs, as well as assist ARM on Association
issues, such as PAC activity and anti-trust matters.
Kent Utter Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides
scholarships for qualifying children of full-time employees of direct
ARM members in good standing who are planning to attend college
or a trade school.

Contributions
to our Political Action Committee help us gain access and educate
key decision makers on issues that affect our Association and our
members.
Meetings
& Conventions
ARM
conducts two (2) meetings a year. The Mid Year meeting which is
held the first part of the year and the Annual Meeting & Convention
which is held in the later part of the year. An annual Golf Scramble
is held at the Annual Meeting and ARM also conducts a Trade Show
every two (2) years.

With Major Freight Carriers
ARM
has discounts with major freight carriers such as American Freightways,
Vitran, and Roadway Express, that offer money saving alternatives
for members shipping inside and outside Michigan.
Discounts
With Suppliers
ARM
membership entitles our members to discounts with suppliers such
as Commercial Forms Recyclers Direct, which offers forms and supplies
for the auto recycler, American Financial Technologies, a credit
card processing company and Heatex Radiator.
ARM Officers & Board Of Directors
ARM
Officers & Board of Directors work daily on the numerous committees
to ensure that the Automotive Recyclers of Michigan members are
kept up to date on rules, regulations, legislation and anything
else pertinent to the automotive recycling industry, and your individual
businesses.

ARM
has numerous committee members working daily on behalf of it"s
members. Each committee member gives freely of his/her time to ensure
Automotive Recyclers of Michigan remains a progressive Association.

Protection/Safety Committee
Always keeping one step ahead of any new problems or concerns
facing our industry.
Public
Relations Committee
Finding ways to promote our industry and our Association to the
public to ensure recyclers and dismantlers are better understood.
Meetings
& Convention Committee
Working year round to ensure that Mid-Year and Annual Meetings
meet with the requirements and preferences of each and every ARM
member. ARM conducts a Trade Show every two (2) years in conjunction
with the Mid Year Meeting.

Benefits Committee
Always looking for new members to welcome and
ways to better serve the members we have. The Benefits Committee
is constantly looking for new benefits for members.
Legislative/Government
Relations Committee
Works
with our governmental affairs counselors to stay on top of all
new and existing legislation that affects our industry and our
businesses.
Newsletter
Committee
Works very hard to publish an informative and
member friendly newsletter on issues related to our industry,
along with articles pertaining to our members. The newsletter,
Yardtalk, is published on a quarterly basis.
Fundraising
Committee
Raises much needed funds for the Association, as well as for our
PAC contributions and Scholarship Program.
Scholarship
Committee
Provides scholarships for qualifying children of full-time employees
of direct ARM members in good standing who are planning to attend
college or a trade school. The committee determines eligibility
requirements and helps set guidelines to follow.
ARMCO
Committee
The committee is empowered to administer the communication services
provided. This committee reviews all applications for services
i.e. ARM Long Line, as well as promote the services, establish
prices for services, and enforce rules and regulations for services
provided by ARM.
